How I earn $0 in passive income off my favorite sports teams

Imagine a country where the wealthy few owned our favorite sports. They started to conglomerate different sports into holding companies, making it difficult for fans to own a majority (51%). They took all the profits and moved teams at their own will.

Sound familiar?

If you guessed the U.S., congratulations, your right! Do I think this is going to continue?

Nope.

However, it is what we have now. The U.S. is a closed system versus the "open systems" commonly found worldwide. In my last article, I talked about the 51% rule in the Bundesliga (German Soccer League). Also, known as the 50+1 rule, it requires teams to be owned by 51% fans versus one entity. Ambitious right?

Well, I am that crazy person saying it's coming, and it's coming soon! How? New forms of governance are putting the power in the people's hands, not the wealthy few. Two examples are The Krause House and DAO FC. One is looking to buy an NBA basketball team and a soccer team. You guessed it, run and owned by its members!

Let's see where this goes.
